Crowborough's independent pharmacy

Prescriptions

Both NHS and private prescriptions can be dispensed at our brand new pharmacy at Saxonbury surgery. All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you request us not to. Remember to keep all medicines out of the reach of children. If you have any questions about your treatment, please do not hesitate to ask our trained pharmacy team.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular medication we are able to collect your repeat prescriptions from our three local surgeries (Saxonbury House, Beacon Road and Brook Health centre) on your behalf and have them dispensed and ready to collect at either branch of Chappells pharmacy or at St Denys pharmacy (Jarvis Brook). Please come into any of our pharmacies and ask for one of our collection envelopes.

Computerised medication records

We keep computerised medication records. These enable us to provide a fast and efficient service that is particularly useful if you require repeat prescriptions. The pharmacist can also use your records to give you advice when purchasing over the counter remedies and record advice given on healthcare issues. This is a confidential, discreet service to which only you and authorised health care professionals have access. Your record only contains information provided by you or authorised healthcare professionals, and details of any medicines dispensed to you.

Emergencies

If you urgently require a prescription medicine that has been previously prescribed by your doctor and you cannot see your doctor, then we may be able to help. However, we can only do this in cases of genuine emergency and we shall have to charge the full price of medicines dispensed. This service is not available on the NHS. For out of hours service please contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647

Unwanted medicines

Old, unwanted medicines should be disposed of safely. Local pharmacies can dispose of these for you, free of charge. At all times remember to keep medicines out of the reach of children, preferably in a locked medicine cabinet. We are not able to accept any “sharps” for disposal. (These include syringes, needles, lancets or injections with needles attached, whether new or used). If in the Crowborough area then please contact Wealden district council on 01323 443434

If you require more information on any of the above services, just email us at chappells.pharmacy@googlemail.com and we will endeavor to help in any way we can
